Why Give Big?

The PA Hospital treats over 300,000 patients a year, has over 4,500 patients enrolled in clinical trials and treats a diverse range of community language groups.

It’s home of the Gamma Knife Centre of Queensland and the Translational Research Institute.

By making a donation towards Give Big for the PA, you’ll be helping the PA Research Foundation invest in:

🥼 Life-saving research to help understand and better treat a host of serious conditions, such as various cancers and kidney disease.

🔬 Cutting-edge medical equipment and upgrades to provide clinicians with the best possible tools to save lives.

🏥 Critical staff training and education to ensure PA Hospital staff can provide world-class care right here in Queensland.

Every dollar counts

Ben was 37, fit and healthy when he contracted an extremely serious infection. It affected his heart and brain. When he arrived at the PA Hospital, Ben was critically ill.

He spent the next 33 days in ICU and 103 days away from his young family.

Ben’s physical recovery started when he was still in ICU. He was introduced to the in-bed cycle ergometer, funded by the generosity of the Foundation’s supporters.

The in-bed cycle helped to bring Ben moments of calm during an incredibly tough time and enabled him to rebuild his strength and go home to his wife, Christie, and their two boys sooner.

“It’s hard to find the words to say how grateful I am for the amazing treatment I received at the PA Hospital.” – Ben

By Giving Big, you'll help provide world-class healthcare to Queenslanders like Ben.

All donations doubled on Thursday, 4 September thanks to our generous matching partners
